GRACE OF GIVING:

TEXT: Isaiah 55:10  For  as  the rain  comes down, and the snow from  heaven,  and returns  not   but waters the earth,  and makes it bring forth  and bud,  that it may give  seed to the sower,  and bread  to the eater:

INTRODUCTION:

Today we are going to deal with the issue of giving.

I come to discover that there are two categories of Christians:

1.   THE EATERS OF BREAD.

2.   THE SOWERS OF SEED

We Christians make the choice which category we want to be.

THE EATERS OF BREAD.

·       These are the people who opt for bread rather than seed. They have income but instead of sowing it in the kingdom of God, they want to spend it all on themselves. You and I know that you can not sow bread. It just wouldn’t grow. So those who opt for bread are at a great disadvantage to begin with. Once they finish eating the bread, that is it, nothing else to eat till God sends more bread. I discover that this category of people is always struggling.

THE SOWERS OF SEED

·       These are Christians who opt for seeds instead of bread. They know that as long as they sow, they will always reap a harvest. The law of sowing and reaping was established in Genesis 8:22. As long as earth remains, there will be harvest as long as you sow. Amen. When a Christian opts to be a sower in His kingdom, God provides seed to sow always. You discover you always have abundance to sow into His kingdom. Remember, the main reason why God gives us job is to be a blessing to His kingdom. To make sure the gospel is preached to the lost. If you do not give for that purpose, you discover that the devil steals your money and you can not account for your income.

GRACE OF GIVING.

·       Without the grace of giving it is difficult to give willingly and generously.

·       God gives this grace to individuals and church.

·        2 Corinthians 9:8 “God is able to make all grace abound toward you, and ye, always have all sufficiency in all things may abound to every good work”.

·       This is the grace he gives to individuals to sow sufficiently to the point you abound to every good work.

·       A good example of a church that had that grace is the Macedonian church  (Read 2 Corinthians 8:1-4)

IN CONCLUSION, you are going to make a decision between you and God. Ask yourself: Do I want to be an eater of bread or a sower of seed? Once you make the decision to be a sower of seed, pray this prayer loud:

FATHER, IN THE NAME OF JESUS, I WANT TO CHANGE MY CATEGORY FROM EATER OF BREAD TO SOWER OF SEED. FORGIVE ME THAT FOR SO LONG I HAVE BEEN EATING ALL MY INCOME. FROM TODAY, I WANT TO BE A BLESSING TO YOUR KINGDOM. I BREAK THE CURSE UPON MY LIFE AND THE LIFE OF MY FAMILY. FROM TODAY, I WILL BE SEED SOWER IN JESUS NAME. AMEN.

·       Congratulations! You are now a sower of seeds. The devil will try to deprive you from sowing but don’t look back. You will experience breakthroughs in your financial life and in your personal life as well. Because you are a giver, you can expect God to trust you with financial resources.

·       Now that you are a seed sower, you need to do one more thing: Ask God for the grace of giving. Pray this prayer out loud:

FATHER, IN THE NAME OF JESUS CHRIST, I ASK YOU TO GIVE ME THE GRACE OF GIVING FROM TODAY IN JESUS NAME I PRAY. AMEN.

·       Receive your new freedom to give. You will abound in God’s blessing in Jesus name. You will never lack again in Jesus name. Share your new experience and testimony to friends, and family members. Tell them what God has done for you. Amen.
